Helmet Sizing Chart
Helmets must fit properly for optimum performance. Don't guess your size. To
ensure a proper fit, take a tailor's measuring tape and measure around your head
above the ears and just above your eyebrows.

Proper Fitting
Your perfect fit: It is important to properly fit your helmet. Not
every helmet is ideal for every head size or shape. This guide will help you
find a comfortable fit.
Step-by-step guide to getting the right fit:
-
Wear your hair in the style you wear when riding. Wearing your hair up can
change the shape of a helmet that fits you best. If you wear different hair
styles, you may need separate schooling and show helmets. (If you usually
wear a headband or ear warmer, bring those along, too.)
-
Put each helmet on without fastening the chin strap. It should feel snug,
but not too tight.
-
Check
a mirror: The helmet should look level on head, parallel to ground, with the
visor just above the crease of your eyebrow.
-
Bend over and see if it slips or slides. Then try moving it gently up and
down, front to back, and side to side. If it slides around, you may need a
smaller size, or a different style.
-
Shake your head. If there’s no motion, that’s a good sign that it fits.
-
Buckle the retention system. The chin strap should fit snugly.
-
Wear it around the store. If it gives you a headache, it’s too tight. It
should become less noticeable and more comfortable as you wear it.
Keep it fitting well:
-
The most common mistake in fitting helmets is not keeping the chin strap
snug. Adjust your retention system’s webbing and buckle for every ride.
Troxel helmets are designed so that they can’t roll off the head if the chin
strap is snug and the buckle is fastened.
